About
An Art Studio Called
Lady Girvi...

Art has been a big part of who I am for most of my life. A few years ago I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and was already dealing with chronic migraines. As my health declined, so did the time that I spent doing art.
After five years I began to recover and discovered art not only as passion of mine but as a way of healing. While I still have health problems, I am blessed to be able to create art once again.
Why Lady Girvi? Girvi is the female form of guru and because I love working with many forms and mediums and trying new techniques to create one of a kind pieces I thought this name fit perfectly. The elephant with a lizard body was created because I have an imagination that’s never ending and there’s just something magical about it. The colors and headdress were inspired by the beautiful colors used in India that I’m frankly in love with! Why the tusks aren’t symmetrical is because nobody’s perfect. So there you have it, that's how Lady Girvi and the design was formed.
